"What's in a Glass?" Riedel Stemware Tasting
Tuesday, January 6, 2009
Instructor: Paul Daggett
Cost: $35 per person
Have you ever found yourself disappointed after drinking a wine that was not disappointed after a wine that was not as complex, interesting and flavorful as you had hoped? Maybe the problem isn't the wine, but instead of the glass you tasted it in. Riedel Crystal has proven that drinking wine in the appropriate stem heightens the level of enjoyment substantially (for sight, smell, and taste). In this presentation, we will compare an ordinary wine glass to specialized Riedel stems- we will be pouring some top selections as well as everyday favorites. We'll smell and taste wines in each stem to demonstrate the differences and prove the point that the right glass just might make you a believer in nuance after all.
